National Folk Museum of Korea

Gyeongbokgung Palace




If you are looking for the most beautiful palace of South Korea, it would be Gyeongbokgung Palace. It was built in 1395, and also referred to as the “Northern Palace” since the location of this site is the furthest north compared to the neighboring palaces of Changdeokgung (eastern palace)  and Gyeongheegung (Western palace). The Gyeongbokgung Palace is indeed the most beautiful palaces amongst them.

Though the premises were destroyed by the fire during the Imjinwaeran War (Japanese invasion, 1592-1598), the palace’s 7,700 rooms are remain restored and you can enjoy the beauty of its heritage now.

Everland – South Korea Destination


   
   
Everland was opened publicly in 1976 as the first family park in Korea. It was originally named “Yongin Jayeon Nongwon”. However, to grab more international attractive tourists, the company change its name to “Everland” to make the name more recognizable and easier to remember. The park is the house of the 40 heart-pounding rides and attraction. There is “Safari World” that promotes incredible white tigers, tigers, lions and bears. While if you are up to herbivore animals, there is “Herbivore Safari” that opened in April 2010, showing the visitors he giraffes, elephants and ostriches.

Namiseom Island



The construction of the Cheongpyeong Dam result on what we call it as Namiseom Island. It is a half moon shaped (462,809m2) isle. Namiseom Island name taken from the General Nami, who led their troopers to win the battles against the rebels in the 13th year of the 7th king of Joseon Dynasty, King Sejo.

Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak



   

Located on the eastern end side of Jeju Island, there is a huge crater called Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. The crater is about 600 m in diameter and 90 m high. With 99 sharped like rocks surrounding the Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, it seems like a gigantic crown. While the southeast and north sides are cliffs, the northwest side is such grassy hill that connects the visitors to the Seongsan Village directly. The ridge provides such great spot for you and your family to walk or perhaps horse riding too. Another great idea to enjoy your time here is to look at the sunrise from the crater that is magnificent. The Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak is surrounded by yellow colored rapeseed flowers in the spring that is truly a sight to memorize.

Jusangjeolli Cliffs

Jeju Island Lava Tube

Cheonjiyeon Falls




One of top recommended natural places you need to visit in South Korea is the Cheonjiyeon Falls. Ceonjiyeon that means “God’s Pon,” derives its name from the legend telling about 7 fairies serving the King of Heaven came down to the pond on stairs of cloud. He bathed in its clean waters. That’s how the name was taken.

Tap-dong Street




Tap-dong Street is the most important tourist area in Jeju City. It runs near the boardwalk from Jeju Port. Many of luxury and big hotels are located here. It is such strategic place to attract tourists to enjoy their vacation in Jeju Island. There are number of fresh seafood restaurants, making this street also called as “Haechip Street”.

It is the best destination for those who want to enjoy their nightlife here. You and your family can have such late delicious seafood dinner, shopping from the popular Tap-dong Street vendors, having a nice time to club, watching art performance at the Cheju Seaside Art Center, or just walk around along the boardwalk to spend the lovely night. Tap-dong Street Amusement Park has 8 lovely different rides for your family. The entrance for the park is free. But you must spend some bucks to a ride ticket. Gimpo International Airport



Gimpo International Airport is also known as Gimpo Airport. It is located in the far western end of Seoul, some 15 km west of the Center District of Seoul. Gimpo International Airport is an important airport that connects South Korea to the whole world. It was the main international airport for South Korea before being replaced by Incheon International Airport in 2001. However, that replacement does not affect the role of this airport. It is the 2nd largest airport in Korea after Incheon International Airport.
