Yongduam Rock - Dragon Head Rock
Yongduam Rock is located at the north of Jeju City. The Yongduam Rock means Dragon Head Rock was created by waves and winds for over thousands years. However, judging from the form of the rock, there are many versions of story of how it came to be.
One folk legend about Yongduam Rock tells about a dragon stealing precious jade from Mt Halla. It was shot down by an arrow from a warrior shooting from mountain deity. When it fell down on the Yongduam, his body sank into the ocean and his head froze looking at the sky. Other legend said that it was a story about white horse that wanted to be a dragon and fly. However, the soldier attacked it and froze it into rock.
