Sun Moon Lake

Seongeup Folk Village
Seongeup Folk Village is a tiny town that holds great amount of culture. This incredible small village is located at the foot of Mt.Halla on Jeju Island.

Taipei Martyrs' Shrine
The Taipei Martyrs' Shrine resting on the slopes of the Qing Mountain and overseeing the Keelung River is located right next to the Grand Hotel. It was built in 1969 and covers such large area. The masterpiece of architectural style is a bit similar with the Taihe Dian Imperial Palace in Beijing, Mainland China, and it definitely symbolizes the martyr’s brave spirit.

Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Taiwan
Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is one of the most focal places you need to visit in Taipei City, Taiwan. Fo Guang Shan Monastery Taiwan
Fo Guang Shan Monastery is the biggest Buddhist monastery in Taiwan that is located in Ta Shu of Kaohsiung City. With the name literally means “Buddha’s Light Mountain”, it was founded in 1967 by the Venerable Master in promoting Humanistic Buddhism. Fo Guang Shan Monastery covers an area more than 30 hectares comprised of university buildings, a cemetery, and the shrines at the first place. Later in 1975 and 1981, the 36 meter tall state of Amitabha Buddha and the Great Hero Hall were built. During the times, there are over 200 Fo Guang Shan Branch Temples that were built.

Tse-en Pagoda - Pagoda in Taiwan
Have you heard about Tse-en Pagoda in Taiwan? I would give you a bit description about this place. It is located on Sha Ba Lan Mountain nearby Sun Moon Lake. Tse-en Pagoda is the construction built under the order of Chiang Kai-shek. It was built of a great purpose. He built in memory of his mother in 1971. The 46 meters tall structure required a lot of effort and time. The materials had to be shipped over the lake and moved up the mountain. Surrounded by beautiful greenery, the Tse-en Pagoda stands beautifully as the famous landmark of the Sun Moon Lake. There are some stone tables and chairs for the visitors to take a rest. Taking a walk for a while in this location will give you unique experience with your family.

Swallows’ Grotto – Taiwan Destination
Swallows’ Grotto cave has a bad record. And perhaps because of that reason it does not really attract as many tourists as it should. Located in a short walk along the sea shore trail of Niutou mountain, Swallows’ Grotto cave was the place where the human corps at the nearby prison were cremated. You will find the small cemetery when walking down the trail. It is probably a little bit creepy there. However, it becomes the outstanding point of this place.

The Eternal Spring Shrine in Tienhsiang, Taiwan
The Taroko Gorge is located in Tienshsiang. It is the best tourist attraction in Taiwan. With the 19 km long of cliffs dropping away to a rushing river of water, that makes this place as one of the wonders in the world. One site you need to visit is the Eternal Spring Shrine which is the memorial for the 450 workers who died constructing the Taroko Highway.
