Taipei Martyrs' Shrine

The Taipei Martyrs' Shrine resting on the slopes of the Qing Mountain and overseeing the Keelung River is located right next to the Grand Hotel. It was built in 1969 and covers such large area. The masterpiece of architectural style is a bit similar with the Taihe Dian Imperial Palace in Beijing, Mainland China, and it definitely symbolizes the martyr’s brave spirit.

With more than 33,000 square meters of grass fields surrounding the structure, it promotes such a serene atmosphere. The 330,000 men who sacrificed their lives to the Chinese revolution are worshipped here.
Each spring and autumn, the president of Taiwan leads both civil and military officials in a public worship. So when you visit this place at time like those, you are in the perfect place and time.
