We all know that surfers can be impulsive and enjoy living in the moment. Although a surfing holiday is one situation where you will want to make sure you get everything ready before you go. It can seem like a pain now but I guarantee that if you forgot something important then it could potentially ruin your whole trip.
This also applies for those weekend trips as well and not just complete surfing holidays. Whatever the destination you will soon realise that there are some things you just can't do without. It goes without saying that if you forget your surfboard you've completely lost it. Flip flops and other Animal clothing or your desired choice of beachwear will also be a good idea. For women Roxy clothing is a good manufacture of women's surf clothing while Billabong caters for male surfers.
Of course if you want to dedicate as much time to the waves as you can then bringing some camping equipment is going to be a good idea. The huge benefit is that you will be able to camp out at the beach and wake up to go surfing everyday. Essential include a tent and sleeping bag. It should be fairly warm down by the sea even at night so only a thin sleeping bag will be required. Also some kind of sleeping mat can be useful to make your sleeping experience more enjoyable. For beach travel a popular option is the hammock which is easy to hook up between two palm trees and keeps you off the ground.
It is usually a good idea to bring some food along for the journey as well to keep your hunger satisfied until you arrive good energy foods include tuna, peanuts and bread. A wetsuit and sun cream will be handy depending on the conditions.
